According to the Minister of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme Khairy Jamaluddin, those aged 40 years old and above can get their walk-in vaccinations in Klang Valley starting 2 August 2021 (Monday).
Malaysian citizens who are 40 years old and above can go for walk-in vaccinations from 2 to 4 August 2021, while non-Malaysians can go from 9 to 11 August 2021. The walk-in vaccinations for those aged 18 years old and above will be from 5 to 22 August 2021 (Malaysian citizens) and 12 to 22 August 2021 (Non-Malaysian citizens) respectively.
However, not all vaccination centres (PPV) will accept walk-in vaccinations. The PPVs that have walk-in vaccinations include Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) HCO F,G,H, Bangi Avenue Convention Centre, Movenpick Sepang, and Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam (IDCC).
Hotel Wyndham in Klang, Dewan TAR Sabak Bernam, and Dewan Komuniti Serendah are also open for walk-in vaccinations. Do take note that walk-ins will only be allowed starting 2pm, on a first-come-first-serve basis. You will be prioritised on the standby list for the next day if the vaccines are finished.
For those who have gotten their first dose of vaccine, please wait for your second dose appointment instead of walking in. According to Khairy, the walk-in vaccinations will cater to those who have not received an appointment yet, those who previously cancelled their vaccination appointment and those who have not registered.
When going for your walk-in vaccination, please bring with you a proof of address in Klang Valley, such as your IC, driver’s licence or employment card. People with comorbidities are also urged to bring the doctor’s letter or any relevant documents with their health condition stated.
